Military

The African Union has a military deployment in Darfur. To find out more, go to;

In October 2006, United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan proposed four ways in which the UN can assist the AU (African Union) to expand its mission. Go to;

and enter “Darfur” for recent press releases and briefings.

Humanitarian

There are a number of NGOs (non-governmental organizations) attempting to provide humanitarian aid to the victims of Janjaweed violence in Darfur. Doctors Without borders is one such NGO.
