Keyword Search is useful when you don’t know exactly what you want. It is especially good for combining two or three terms that could be facets of a subject, or words from a title and an author. It will assemble a list of titles in order of highest relevance first. For example, typing caged angelou (a title word and an author word) in the "Search for:" box will find I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, by Maya Angelou, and this title will display at the top of a results list.
To search by Author, Title, Subject Heading or Call Number, select the appropriate "radio button" under "Search by," and enter your search terms in the "Search for" box.
Hints:
From the list of titles that results from a search you will see the Location, Call number, and Status of each item. To see additional details about the item, click on its title.
