Welcome
The Music Department at Ohlone College has a full range of programs from Music Fundamentals to Electronic Music, Instrumental Music to Music History and Vocal Music to Commercial Music. In addition, faculty and staff here are very proud of our performing ensembles.
Echoing the College’s commitment, as stated in its Mission Statement, we provide a performing outlet to every member of the community who wishes to participate. Our focus and support of these groups is represented by the vibrant performance schedule of eight major ensembles: Wind Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, Community Band, Tuba Ensemble, Jazz/Rock Combos, "Chops" (big band), Chamber Singers, and Community Chorale. These groups have represented the College at many professional conventions, seven European Tours, professional appearances throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, Carnegie Hall, and on ten compact disc recordings.
