Program
Philosophy :
Your
employability is our success.
Whether your strength is design or gaming, programming or animation,
we offer you a rich and challenging curriculum that will prepare you to
be a competitor in today's new media production marketplace.
Foundation
:
We begin by ensuring that you have a solid foundation in the fundamental
principles and skills of graphic design. Then we offer you the opportunity
to explore the many different areas of multimedia: web site development,
digital video, 2-D and 3-D animation, electronic music, digital photography
(to name just a few). You'll work in our state-of-the-art
classrooms and labs where you can apply your design and production
skills using current industry-standard software applications.
State-of-the-art-Curriculum
:
To assure that you are adequately prepared for today's new media jobs,
we focus on maintaining a program that is up to the minute. All of our
faculty members are working professionals in the field. In your classes,
you'll be exposed to a variety of guest speakers who will share their
real world experiences. Our Advisory Board
continuously reviews content and practice to ensure our program is as
current as possible.
Practical Experience
:
In our Portfolio Development course you'll create a professional quality
electronic portfolio and resume and have the opportunity to have them
reviewed by one or more working professionals.
Through our Work Experience/Cooperative Education Program, you'll have
actual experience to add to your resume.
Our annual juried Multimedia Show will give you a place to network and
provide a showcase for your work.
Our students are encouraged to submit their work to a variety of industry
shows and community events.
